Our friends found themselves behind bars on 12 November 2020. They are held hostage by the regime for not tolerating violence, cynicism and lies of the authorities.

Find out how you can support our heroes now.
On 1 September 2020, tens of thousands of passionate students came out on the streets to demonstrate their desire to live in a democratic country. We payed unfulfillable price for our decisive and peaceful struggle.

On November 12, 2020, the KGB during a special operation detained activists of student strike committees and initiative groups who became figures of the «student case».

The «trial» started on May 14th 2021. 12 young Belarusians were charged under article 342 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus «Organization or active participation in group actions that grossly violate public order».

On July 16, 2021, 11 defendants were sentenced to 2.5 years in prison, and one defendant received a 2-year prison sentence.

Human rights activists, as well as Western countries, consider the case politically motivated.
