Politically imprisoned students
The contribution of the academic community to the protest is extremely high. Students have paid for their activism with scholarships, university places and some of them — with their freedom. Here are the stories of the members of the academic community who have been recognised as political prisoners.

At the moment there're 11 students and 1 professor who were imprisoned for the "Student case". They're being accused of organizing student strikes and protests.

In total, at least 41 students are under criminal prosecution. See the full statistics on repressions here.

Support the prisoners!
Arkady Smolich Scholarship — a first people's prize for the students of Belarus. Our goal is to support the most active belarusian students morally and financially.

This year it was decided to reward politically imprisoned student activists with the Scholarship. It is these people that deserve it the most, as they're sitting behind bars for their active student civil position.

You can become a patron or just support with a donation. All collected funds will be equally distributed and transferred to the prisoners immediately after their release. It is possible to do it here.
Appeal to godparents
Some European deputies and officials "jumped in" for every politically imprisoned student. We encourage you to write them, so that they continue to pressure our government in their turn, and also to tell the international community about the brutal keeping of young activists behind bars.

What has to be done? You should write a letter in English and send it to the mailbox of a certain godparent. All addresses, suggestions on the content and examples of letters you'll find below.

Write letters and share the information about this action in your social media, leave instagram of politically imprisoned students. This is actually important.
